A Fourtieth, a fifth and a Church Picnic

The two scientists having a laugh. Their converstions often go right over my head.

We got rained out of our annual extended family Hicks Lake barbecue so we had just with our family later at home.

Growing so fast. He loves to smile and 'talk'.

Case has the flowers for church ready to go. Sunday morning are busy times for us, with bouquet preparations and pancake breakfast with our children & grandchildren.

This large oreo icecream cake from the Dairy Queen disappeared pretty quickly, right down to the last crumb.

Who's going to blow them out first?

Both sets of grandparents are over for a birthday dinner for little Kathleen who turned 5!

June 17

Our dear friends, Allan & Christine hosted the church picnic for the second consecutive year. They said they're not doing it again and that next year we can do it. It was a good time had by all.

First the two pastors did the dunk tank and then Corwin of course had to give it a try. The adults found this quite entertaining.

A happy baby Neil. The kids did not tire of going up & down the inflated slide.

Al & Christine had purchased these miniature sheep the day before, as an addition to their petting zoo.

Al drew the herd (oops, congregation) together for a prayer to bless the food.

The barbecued chicken half was sooo juicy and delicious! The kids (and big kids) got lots of sweet toppings to choose from for their icecream.

The girls lined up to get their faces painted.

The picnic ended with a hay ride. Saathofs down the road loaded two trailors with hay and hitched them onto two tractors.
