A playground for mountain bikers and a haven for hikers.

Stats: 6 km / 344m gain / 528m high point / 1:50 hours

Ahhh -- the scents of fresh foliage after it is touched by the rain. Its so all encompassing. So invigorating. It's spring. A time of new beginnings, of rebirth and of growth.

I stayed on the outer perimeter trails, going counter-clockwise: Canyon Loop - Upper Canyon - Broken Tree - Fireline - Spotlem.

I'd never seen such a large grouping of Trilliums before.

At the intersection of the Gloria Lookout trail which is a challenging 1200m climb on a very steep trail.

Just a bit of a climb off of the Spotlem trail is this picnic area.

Viewpoint north.

I can see how the mountain bikers would enjoy going down these sharp high corners on the Spotlem trail.
