May 17 - Stats: 8 km / 820m gain / 718m high point / 3:25 hours MT

Truck-size moss-covered boulders and decrepit old wood ladders set this hike apart from others. It took us 2 hours to get to the lookout.

This was the first time Wendy took Hank along. First we passed the huge grey water tank before rising quickly on this deactivated FSR.

Soon we were off of the FSR and onto this trail. I did not use the slippery wet stairs.

I've never seen so many Trillims on a hike before.

The octopus tree.

Careful steps here. Hank did so well.

Violets. That's the "Give-me-a-bite-of-your-lunch" look.

After lunch at the lookout we turned right, thinking to hike past Campbell Lake to the bigger lookout.

But Hank put a stop to that. There were too many deep holes between these boulders. He wasn't going to budge and we weren't going to lift him.

Back at the octopus tree.

Back by the power-lines. Mt. Cheam was hiding this day.

This trail starts on the southern outskirts of Harrison village.
