Stats: 4.4 km / 625m gain / 2:20 hours MT / 675m summit

This is a short hike but with a 38.7% average grade, it's by no means an easy one. It's a trail not often used, in the little historic town of Yale.

This hike is also named the "Lynky" trail. The faint trail has 47 switchbacks that ascend steadily, sometimes over scree and sometimes on grass and moss.

The village of Yale used to be a busy river port in 1859, the head of Fraser River navigation and a transfer point for supplies to the Cariboo goldfields.

In about half an hour you'll come to the first steep section and first of three ropes. I wouldn't put too much faith in the ropes. There's frayed and old. Another half an hour will get you to the second rope and shortly after that the third.

This past year they removed the old television relay tower. This route was created and used to service the station. View northwest.

View east from the summit.

The Fraser River bends around the south to east sides of Mt. Lincoln. The little island is named Lady Frank's Rock.

Spring with all its lovely scents is in the air.
