March 17 - Stats: 11.7 km / 715m gain / 1476m high / 4 hours MT

Snowshoeing at the Sasquatch Ski Resort was not unfamiliar to us but this route was. And of all the routes there, this one had the best views to offer...

Hemlock Valley had even more snowfall than Manning Park this year.

We took mostly groomed slopes up, starting east from the parking lot.

ree

Sleese - Border Peaks - Tomy Hoi - Mt. Baker.

Higher up on the groomed slope we turned northeast into the furry forest.

A northwest viewpoint before turning right towards the ridge.

Harrison Lake.

ree

The Old Settler & Slollicum Peaks -- east.

pic 2: On the ridge leading to the summit there were minor ups & downs.

Wow!!! From northwest to southeast the views were spectacular!

ree

Robie Reid in Golden Ears PP - west.

ree

Judge Howay - Clarke - Recourse - Viennese - Grainger Peaks -- northwest to north.

ree

ree

Long Island + that pointy peak is Mt. Urquhart - northeast.

ree

The Breakenridge moutains and that lower hill is where the Harrison Lookout tower is located - northeast.

ree

The Old Settler & Slollicum - east.

It just so happened that Cal & I had the same hike planned for the same day. Another group had broken trail Saturday and this was the last good weather day for the week. So we joined forces and had a wonderful day, reuniting with friends we hadn't seen in a while, thanks to Covid.

ree

Heading back.

ree

The Cheam Range to the left - southeast.

Chehalis Lake to the left and Harrison to the right.
