We were supposed to go with the club to China Ridge in Princeton this day. But the day before I was thinking how we'd be driving at least 4 hours in winter conditions, and then hiking on a cloudy day that would have limited views. When Brigitte emailed the day before, I found out that all four of us were on the same page. So we decided to do a local hike instead. It was a fun day!
Sheri is very familiar with this area. She led us to some trails that we'd never done before.
I asked Sheri to pose for a photo by the nudist beach sign by acting like she's going to start taking her clothes off but she did better than that so I quickly switched it to a video...

At the first tiny cabin. I saw my brother-in-law, Jerry's signature on the wall.
By the time we got to the paragliders' launch, the clouds had closed in and it was even snowing a tiny bit.
We carried on on the FSR that the paragliders used, but soon Sheri led us left onto a trail that was new to me.
This cabin was built during Covid.

Just beyond the cabin we followed a narrow trail on top of a cliff above the Norrish River.
Uh oh. The trail abruptly disappeared thanks to the 2021 flood. But there was a short steep detour.
Really? While we were gone hiking for 3 hours, someone had taken an ax to the log sign that read; "Welcome naturists".
