Stats: 7.7 km / 539m gain / 3:15 hours MT / 460m highest point

I would call this another grind. It's steep till the junction and then becomes a little more kind from there till the paraglider's launch spot. There are numerous viewpoints on the west and north & south sides. It neighbours Dewdney Mt. and offers an expansive view of Deroche.

The first 20 minutes or so were on level ground, starting out by crossing these decorated tracks.

Some art work before leaving the Norrish Creek (I'd call it a river) and veering right into the forest.

The first hour to the junction was quite steep. pic 3) Trailing Blackberry. 4) Viewpoint south on Mt. Baker

Arrived at the cabin.

View from the cabin. On the far horizon is Vancouver Island and Sumas Mt. right across from us.

The brown river to the left is the mighty Fraser.

We carried on past the cabin to the paraglider launch. This is where we turned back.

The first pic reminds me of a dragon's neck and head.

Back down to the junction, we then turned left. It took only about 10 minute to get to this southern viewpoint.

Another 5 minutes down to the end of this trail and we had a more expansive view of the southern mountains.

Mt. Baker.

Chocolate Lilies are hard to spot. They blend in with the colours of the forest.

Heading back down the main trail.

It felt great to cool our sweaty swollen feet off in the frigid waters of Norrish Creek. It was a great way to end the day.
