Sites to see in Chilliwack River Valley

Writer: Jocelyn TimmermansJocelyn Timmermans

I was out to show off our beautiful BC to a dutch guest. One third of the Netherlands is below sea level. So needless to say, she was quite impressed.

It's about a one hour hike to Lindeman Lake which is 840m high -- 238m elevation gain, 3.4 km.

Pic 3: This bridge is new. Remains of the old one can be seen to the left.

Log jam at the south end of the lake.

Pic 3: the campsite is right at the beginning of the lake. Cables for food storage hang from the trees to the right.

The Gargoyles.

Chilliwack Lake. It was just a 20 minute walk to the lake from the yellow gate. Many people were huddled round fires on the beach.

Bosumarne Falls are about 1 km west of the Lindeman Lake parking lot. There are no signs. This is a short 30 minute hike (one way).
