Stats: 18.6 km / 982m gain / 1983m high / 5 hours MT
It was so good to be reunited with long-time friends from the hiking club, this being the first hike I've posted to the club since my husband passed away over 4 months ago. What a beauty of a day! This hike had much to offer with it's vibrant wildflowers, a well-groomed trail and snow clad peaks.

We parked at the Strawberry Flats trailhead. Anemones grew close to a pond. There were just a few patches of snow so we did not take micro-spikes.

Glacier Lilies are the first to bloom after the snow melts.

Snowcamp Mt. to the right, then Lone Goat (1860m) + Red Mts (1920m).
Woolen Breeches Spring Beauty

At the junction to the Skyline Trail. Frosty Mt (2310m) to the left -- southeast.

Castle Peak (2377m) & Freezeout (2256m) -- south.

Thunder Lake in the valley and the Hozameens shrouded in cloud + Snowcamp to the right -- west.

Gathering the group to get going after a break. First we had to drop down before climbing again.

Leaving the forest and revelling in the magnificent views.

The Hozameens (2225m) -- southwest.

west

Lone Goat (1850m) & Red Mtns (1920m) -- northwest. John Mc has done all three peaks several as a one day excursion.

Silvertip Mt to the left -- northwest.

Beginning our descent. Looks like John wanted to do a bit more climbing.

Back at the junction, I took this final set of photos of the peaks. It was 3:00pm and the clouds had completely lifted.
