March 24 - Stats: 5.3 km / 420m gain / 482m high point

Although this is a shorter hike, the Dragon's Back still had us huffing and puffing.

Harry Waldron was a regular Wednesday hiker. Because he's moving away, he wanted to do this final hike with us old-timers in the club that were also regular mid-week hikers. It was great to be out with this group, some of whom I hadn't seen for ages.

There's plenty of parking space by the trailhead.

Rebar drilled into rock for these stairs.

Hmmm. Which way to go? Right is shorter but steeper and left has more ropes. Terry decided for us. She wanted to go counter-clockwise.

John quickly found out that this was not a good idea. Nitro kept wanting him to throw the stick.

Hope and the Fraser River -- north.

Hope Peak and Hwy 1 to the left.

This hike was about Harry. We spent just as much time taking breaks as we did hiking. We were in no rush, doing what we love to do best, this one last time with him. He spear-headed the huge project of creating the trail to Lindeman Peak above Chilliwack Lake, having put countless hours into it.

Continuing after lunch, first along the ridge and then dropping a bit down into this gully.

The northwestern viewpoint.

So much rock work on this trail.

Back on the trail we'd come up on.

Judy and Vic & Eva joined us for dinner at the Wild Cat pub in Agassiz afterwards. Good times.
